I read an article on the Internet news that health care workers dealing with COVID-19 infected people in France have been subjected to defamation and discrimination.

This should never be allowed to happen. However, even in Japan, many hospitals seem to be refusing to accept people with COVID-19 infection. Because everyone is afraid of COVID-19.
We are infecting the people around us with the fear of COVID-19. Everyone is affected by this infection without realizing it on their own.
It's not just pneumonia that COVID-19 is bringing to us. Anxiety and fear of the unknown, which in turn creates even greater dislike, prejudice and discrimination against the infected.
If a person is afraid of being discriminated against, if they contract COVID-19, they will be reluctant to go to the hospital. And what's more, it will spread the virus to many other people.
People's reactions are starting to spread in the wrong direction, like an infection. Sickness, anxiety and discrimination. We have to break the chain of these three infectious diseases.
Is everyone with a coughing fit with COVID-19? No, there is more than one cause of coughing.
Is the entire area in which a person infected with COVID-19 lives infected with the virus? No, the virus has not been given an address.
It seems that the unknowable virus has robbed many people of their ability to make calm decisions. Don't mistake what you are afraid of.
In particular, Healthcare professionals are in fear every day that they too might catch the virus. What we can do for them is continue to encourage and thank them, not discriminate against them.
My country's health care providers are working to protect the lives of my country's citizens. If you were to become infected, who would be there to support you by your side?
Even if the infection of the virus has ceased throughout the world, it is meaningless if the society becomes uninhabitable afterwards.
Please don't be swallowed by anxiety.

I'm Japanese. The Japanese government has prioritized the economy over protecting the lives of the people. The Japanese were once called "Economic Animals", but we are still the same.
Japan is infantile even in politics. Unfortunately, this is also one of the characteristics that Japan has.
